This project was for a young couple that harbors a deep reverence for the beauty of the pacific northwest, organic materials, and oriental culture. They came to us with a desire to expand the size and functionality of their kitchen while infusing it with warmth, beauty, and dimension.

We borrowed space from the neighboring dining room and with a larger footprint, incorporated a central island with seating that is both functional and inviting. We added new windows and enlarged existing windows to create an abundance of light and allow better connection to nature. All appliances and plumbing fixtures were upgraded, new light fixtures introduced various task and ambient levels of lighting, and all new finishes set a very moody, zen tone.

Many hours are now spent here brewing espresso, hanging with their pups, and surfing the web for their next great adventure.
